The idea was born reflecting on the theme of diversity. Everyday we get to know new stories which unfortunately tell us of a society in which being “different” is still a problem.
The story is about Blu, a bee whose appearance is different from all the others: it’s blue and black. Blu, targeted by the others bees because of the different colors, will try to take on an conventional appearance by wearing a special sweater, but it will soon have to get rid of if due to an unexpected event. This will lead the bee to move away from the hive and to discover a world made up of many little friends of the most various shapes and colors, a world where it can be simply itself.
I’ve decided to participate to get involved, to compare myself with others illustrators and to have the possibility to realize one of my dreams: to publish a book for anyone who wants to dive in my illustrations.
This books is dedicated to all that are discriminated because of their “diversity”.
