The idea came from my old violin. I don’t know anything about who, where or when it was made. A little part of the story is based on real facts about some of its past owners, the rest is imagination!

I knew about the contest some time ago and I thought that perhaps it could be the chance and a challenge for me to finish this silent story.
Montserrat is from Sant Quintí de Mediona, a town surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and almond trees near Barcelona. She has been drawing since her childhood. She graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona and she also studied illustration at the Escola Massana in Barcelona. She has illustrated children’s and young adults books for spanish publishers.
