The idea started from a very simple image I made recently, which depicts a dark silhouette of a character (very relatable to a ninja) with a moon-shaped backpack, with a starry sky behind it. From this I imagined a sympathetic story and realizing that it could be perfectly told without the use of text so it was suitable for making a silent book.
It tells about the main character, a young ninja, who during one of his evening walks over the rooftops of the city, finds himself later than usual and sees a beautiful moon that he had never noticed, it is love at first sight! From that moment on, the moon is always present in his thoughts and dreams, he sees her everywhere, at the supermarket, reflected in the lake. Only she can give him back his smile.
It was my wife, also an illustrator, who found this call for entries and recommended that I participate, knowing that it would be ideal for me, since I enjoy storytelling but have no particular talents for writing.
