In China, people believe that when you die, you go to another place. The dead are reincarnated in that place and then returned to the real world. They turn back into human beings or animals. It was in this cultural background that I created this story.
The main character of this story is an entomologist who studies butterflies. After he died, he went to another world. It’s like taking a trip. After all these experiences, he finally chose to become a butterfly and returned to his wife. Butterflies are an important part of his past life. So it’s also a story about missing and loving.
This story was an idea I had a long time ago, and then slowly I began to sketch and create the whole story. But it wasn’t fully drawn until I saw the silent book contest, so I decided to perfect the story and enter the contest.
