It was mainly influenced by the medieval map Carta Marina and its creatures, I wanted to rather evoke the viewers creativity with a world or story not explained to them but shown just like those inaccurate monsters evoke a sort of adventurous curiosity to me.
The story, or rather lack of it, is about a shipwreck and its contents floating through mystical waters and interacting with its various creatures. There are hints of things happening, on every page there’s one object from the last one, linking together a journey while the last page depicts a person who probably went through their own odyssey. My intention with this book was interactive for the viewer to make up their own story on these waters in any way they see fit.
For fun, to get more into the world of illustration and for the chance that this book may inspire hundreds of Oddysseys from various authors if published. It could be used for essays in schools, a sort of creative education or just a book to be enjoyed. I’d like to see this project prosper.

During the 2020 quarantine, he began to view comics and illustration more seriously. With the guidance of his figural art teachers, he applied to the University of West Bohemia at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art. He was accepted into the Atelier of Comics and Illustration for Children, where he has been studying ever since.
