CLAIR DE LUNE

Giulia Gardelli (Italy)

How the idea for your silent story was born?

I love creating images where simple shapes interact with characters and create little stories. I have always been fascinated by the night and the changeability of the lunar eclipse.  So I wanted to combine the shape of the moon with the moment of going to sleep.

What's the story about?

The story begins with the moment before turning off the light to go to sleep. We enter the darkness and the only source of light remains the moon, which welcomes us, envelops us and accompanies us towards dreams. The little bear also comes on this little journey, but he is not so sleepy.

Why have you decided to enter the contest?

Because I love stories that don’t use words, for their power and because they are universal, immediate, with more possibilities for interpretations.
