The idea for Favilla was born during a process of self-analysis and thoughts about my own emotions. I was intrigued to understand how we need to face our fears while looking for what makes us happy.
Favilla is the story of a very observant and curious girl who decides to leave her room and face her fears and doubts to see the brightest star up close. During her journey she makes unexpected friends who help her in this process of self-discovery. This book is a narrative about courage, growth, and the quest for independence fueled by a spark of the unknown.
While searching for children’s picture books I discovered the contest and saw it as a great opportunity to explore and learn more about this field and perhaps publish a lovely story.
