VERSO LA ROTTA DI IMMAGINARIA

Silvia Franchini, Lorena Scremin (Italy)

How the idea for your silent story was born?

The idea for this project arose from the need to talk about imagination, through imagination itself. We wanted to create a story that would inspire wonder, be rich in details and parallel storylines, make people laugh, and set the imagination soaring. So, we allowed ourselves to be carried away on the course of Immaginaria, and from there, the book practically took on a life of its own.

What's the story about?

“Verso La Rotta Di Immaginaria” recounts the incredible adventures of a little paper boat destined to be shipwrecked, explore underwater worlds, befriend fearsome sea monsters, and much more. It’s a tale where imagination makes the impossible achievable through play.

Why have you decided to enter the contest?

For a long time, we had dreamed of creating a project together, and amid conversations and confidences, we began drafting a storyboard, watching our ideas take shape with an ever-clearer direction. This process led us to pick up our pencils—both digital and traditional—and give form to our vision. The Silent Book Contest arrived at just the right moment, providing the little push we needed to turn our dream into something tangible.
