Like many ideas scribbled on random scraps of paper, this story began in my little notebook. While sketching in the kitchen, I imagined a tiny girl asleep on the counter. What if she woke up and wandered through the night?
The story takes place during a full-moon night in a quiet, remote house. A bright yellow, almost light-like little girl suddenly wakes up on the kitchen counter, next to the sink. Curious and playful, she begins exploring her surroundings. Where does she come from, and where is she going? That is the small yellow mystery readers are invited to discover in “Un piccolo mistero giallo”, imagining their own interpretations along the way.
I love silent books and their ability to tell stories without words. I’ve always enjoyed browsing the selected works at The Silent Book Contest, and this year I decided to challenge myself by participating, having fun and treasuring the process every step of the way.
