It formed from a simple idea to appreciate small things in life, to celebrate playfulness and the child still within us. I want to see the world through a child’s eyes, and experience wonder again.
A child discovers joy in casting shadows on a wall, conjuring a host of playful characters. When one shadow creation beckons the child to join the shadow realm, the child steps in and builds a new world full of wonder and delight. The story explores the idea of connecting with our inner child, to discover and gain new strength from within ourselves, and embrace our imaginative and creative power.
Imagery is a universal language that forms the basis of my practice. I relish the opportunity of inviting readers to tap into their own imagination and experiences to create a personal meaning.
